CONCLUSION:
Based on both our factual research and our interviews, we have concluded that our hypothesis was in fact incorrect. These prison rehabilitation programs tend to have a very strong positive impact on the individual prisoners. In addition, because these programs limit the number of prison reentries due to drug related offenses these programs are actually economically beneficial as well. Finally, these programs have a positive impact on the future generations hoping to eliminate the viscous cycle our society has created. However, there are not a sufficient amount of programs to actually make a difference. Therefore; our solution to the current mass incarceration epidemic would be to allocate more federal funding to rehabilitation programs; rather, than the prison industrial complex
